Chocolate PB Cup Proats

Proats = Protein + Oats

Carbs get a bad rap, which is nonsense because your body NEEDS a certain amount of healthy carbs to function, and repair itself after strenuous activities. Now, ‘healthy’ is the key word there. Donuts do not count….sorry….wish they did.

When coupled with a healthy protein source, carbs are even more magical, and will leave you feeling full longer. Enter the proats. No matter what your fitness goals are, these proats are a delicious and filling breakfast that will power you through a workout (or a schedule crammed with meetings and no snack breaks).

I keep seeing commercials for those Reese’s Easter Eggs and if there is one candy I will cross the room for…its those Easter Eggs. However, I never stop at one, and I have to be in a bikini in T-minus 3 months, so I decided to satisfy the craving with a filling, wholesome breakfast that tastes pretty dang close to the real thing!

Give this a go!

Chocolate PB Cup Proats

  • 1 scoop Orgain Plant Based Protein Powder - Peanut Butter Flavored

  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • dash of salt

  • 1 packet of stevia

  • 1 drop of Young Living Cinnamon Bark Vitality Essential Oil

  • Toppings: Lily’s Dark Chocolate Chips, natural peanut butter, and a little real maple syrup.

In a saucepan, combine all ingredients EXCEPT for your toppings. Heat slowly over medium heat, stirring often until the oats reach the desired consistency (#thick). You may add more almond milk if the oatmeal lumps up. This is all about your preferences.

Top with the chocolate chips, PB, and syrup if you like!
